They are easy to set up. I am not sure if “love” is the right way to describe how I feel about using these, but they certainly work great. We have had mice getting into our garage and these traps keep catching them. We put some poison stations right near them so the mice have to go across the glue pad first. We have also caught other insects like crickets, so they are multi-purpose. I will probably be ordering more of these to keep using year round because they do exactly what they promise.

You cut a hole out of the top of the shoebox and tape two pieces of paper to form a trap door. We placed a little bit of cracker crumbs on our trapped doors with some peanut butter smeared very lightly to prevent it from weighing the door down and it worked great.
No kill rat traps are slowly gaining in popularity as more and more people become concerned with animal rights, although they have get to gain widespread popularity . Rats do have a place in the ecosystem as scavengers clearing out dead animal and plant materials. They are also an important food source for carnivorous species such as owls, hawks, bobcats, mountain lions and many other apex predators.
DRG suggested using a different bait, one he wouldn’t easily remove. I modified the trigger to make the V-shaped metal tab stick up at a 45º angle. I then formed a ball of cheese around the trigger and reset the trap.

Expanded Trigger Plate The Easy Set® Mouse Trap enhances the classic snap trap design by adding a large plastic trigger plate to ensure higher catch rates. The expanded size means it can be easily activated both by rodent interest in food and through accidental contact as mice scamper across the floor.
I had a problem with roof rats. Put two of these bad boys out baited with peanut butter and caught one within a day. I like the fact that it did kill instantly and the poor little guy didn’t suffer. Hate to have to kill them but can’t have them in my attic destroying things.
I just purchased the electronic pest repeller and i only saw one roach so far and I just put them in two days ago. But my daughter says she can hear it, it said on the box that us humans cant hear it. So why is she hearing it?
Use the right amount of bait. Regardless of the type of trap you choose, effective baiting is vital. Depending on the type of trap you’re using and the type of rodent you’re after, different amounts of bait will be ideal.

Absolutely worked to get 2 very smart rats. They have been running in and out of my house for months. I tried the electric rat zappers from two different models but these two rats would not even trip the trap. 15 minutes after going up the first rat was caught. A little blood was on the trap from either the nose or mouth so i placed the entire thing in the garbage with the rat hanging from it. You can absolutely clean and reuse the trap- it was not damaged. But i purchased a 9 pack so i placed another trap and in a few minutes a heard a snap. The second rat was finally caught !!! This one did not bleed at all so i opened the trap and dropped him in the garbage bag. I used a very small piece of soft yellow cheese which i worked into the hook on the trap. I really got lucky catching the first rat cause i saw her stomach area moving while she laid dead- she was about to start populating my house. I used gloves while handling the traps and set the traps on the S setting. Be careful I snapped the very edge of a finger and it hurt. I would hate to see an good finger snap on these things.
I have battled rats for many years. Living close to a creek with sewer lines that run along it, these pesky critters always show up in the basement every winter. I’ve used just about every snap rat trap on the market, and although alot of the other traps work, these traps are the ones I keep coming back to. These traps work and work very well.
Almost all of us grew up eating meat, wearing leather, and going to circuses and zoos. We never considered the impact of these actions on the animals involved. For whatever reason, you are now asking the question: Why should animals have rights? Read more.
I use these to discourage our cat from getting into areas she shouldn’t be. Don’t worry, she doesn’t get stuck to it. Once they see that it’s sticky they avoid it completely. Much cheaper than alternate methods. Glue is non toxic so it won’t hurt your furry friends, just keeps them out of places they shouldn’t be.
Obtain a large coffee can. The can should have a mouth approximately five to six inches across and a height of about seven to eight inches. The coffee can should have smooth sides which cannot be easily scaled by rodents. If using economy size coffee cans which are ten inches deep or more, place a small pad or bunched cloth at the bottom to prevent injury to the mouse you’ll catch.
Glue traps never work to keep rodents away in the long run, and their use will actually backfire. This is because when animals are killed or otherwise removed, the resultant spike in the food supply causes accelerated breeding among survivors and newcomers—and this means increased populations. The only surefire way to keep mice and other animals out of your house is to make it less inviting to them.
Had a mice problem went to Home Depot and got the electric repellent was sitting on the couch and saw a mouse roll from under the device to under the couch still have traps saw one mouse that got caught on the trap trying to get out but no more problems it has been months.
PETA often fields calls from people who have discovered small “nontarget” animals hopelessly trapped on these sticky boards. One distraught woman found a glue trap with a bird, two frogs, and a salamander stuck to its surface. All the animals were still alive when she found them but died later, despite her efforts to free them.
After inspecting the rat infested areas, place the rat glue boards in those areas. Place the glue traps directly in their runways. Rats usually travel along baseboards and walls, since they use the walls for guidance. Place glue traps where there has been rodent activity.
I have never used one of these , but all i can say is the best way to stop cockroaches once and for all is to use these plastic hectegon shaped plastic trays of about 5 cm in diameter. hen i moved into a new house a couple years ago, i was panic-stricken to see literally hundreds of roaches all around. A friend of mine recommended these small trays and believe me the last roach i ever saw was 3 days after i scattered these (6-7 of them) on the floors of each room. No one roach at al ever since! It says on the package there is a kind of food inside the tray that repels the poor things so terribly that they never want to come anywhere within a mile of it!! One thing though, its not available everywhere. Just check out for it on Amazon or others. The brand name is COMBAT. It is perfect solution, and very cheap, like 10 bucks, and lasts for a good year.
If a man can write a better book, preach a better sermon or make a better mouse trap than his neighbor, though he builds his house in the woods. The world will make a beaten path to his door.  Ralph Waldo Emerson
The comedy behind this poster makes this a favorite and the best part, the person who wrote it, says it works. Read below for the directions on this one but be sure to read them all, as I can see skipping number six may lead to a tipped over bottle and an escapee!
I came across this video a couple years ago while I was living in Baltimore City, Maryland and for as young as the kid may be or sound, he made an almost genius trap that worked great for us at our row home rental. The idea is the shoe box, looks like a shoe box.
A simple internet search for no-kill rat traps will also bring up many ““homemade” devices. One uses a liter soda bottle cut apart and fashioned into a funnel with plastic “spikes” cut into the opening. This operates on the same principle as the wire cage funnel trap, with the funnel positioned so that the rat is trapped in the body of the bottle unharmed and ready for release.
I put a bit of peanut butter on the center plastic bit and put this under my drawer. Finally caught the mouse that’s been running around my house for weeks! We haven’t found out where it comes in from, but at least we know that we can catch them! Thank you for these awesome traps! My brother and I took it to the next town over and released it in front of the forest. The little fellow couldn’t wriggle off. We used dishwasher soap and some water to set it free. No more rat poo around the house! Mom finally relieved. No more skittering noises in the night! Adios, El Magnifico!
