Most trapping efforts fail because too few mouse traps or rat traps are used. You’ll probably need more traps then you think. Set enough Victor traps to kill most of the population before the rodents begin to shy away from the traps. We recommend placing the traps every 2-3 feet along a wall, with the trap placed perpindicular to the wall. Rodents enter a home through holes the size of a dime and run along walls, not over open spaces.
“BEST TRAP ON THE MARKET! I purchased the easy set traps because of the tension adjustment (either hard or soft) I have tried other traps and even using a side-by-side comparison, the Victor traps captured the rodent every time. Victor is the only trap I’ll buy from now on. It works, it’s durable and easy to set!” Read More Reviews »

If allergy season has passed and you find that you are still experiencing the stuffy nose, itchy eyes, coughing, rash outbreaks or respiratory issues that regularly plague you at that time, you might be suffering from an allergic reaction to mice in your home. Read More »
Known for the most innovative rodent control products on the market, Victor Electronic Rat Trap is the only rat trap with a patented 3-plate design to prevent escapes. Easy to use, the trap is simply baited, placed against the wall and turned on. The trap uses advanced smart circuit technology to sense when a rodent enters the units. Once the rodent is inside, the system delivers a humane, high-voltage shock to effectively kill the rat or mouse in seconds. A green indicator light illuminates when a rat has been exterminated and is ready for removal. Rodents can then be dumped directly into the trash for no-touch, no-view mouse control. Since rats have the ability to restart their hearts after an electrical shock, the Victor Electronic Rat Trap applies shock for 2 minutes ensuring high kill rates. Additionally, the Victor Electronic Rat Trap is the only trap that automatically resets after an irregular escape. Safe for use anywhere in the home, the Victor Electronic Rat Trap is ideal for attics, garages, basements, sheds, and kitchens. A lifetime investment, the Electronic Rat Trap is easy to clean and can be reused indefinitely. For effective rat control, one set of 4 ‘C’ batteries will eliminate up to 50 rats, and a red light indicates when batteries need replacing.
Take the mouse a distance from your home and release it. Wear sanitary gloves and carry the bottle in an upright position at least five to ten miles away from any human habitation.[4] Open the trap in a meadow or forest, allowing the mouse to go free. Dispose of the sanitary gloves and bottle trap.
I bought four of the plugin ones off Amazon. They specify the range they work and we get mice in our basement. I plugged them all in downstairs except one I put in my garage. Surprisingly they did work, even on spiders. This was two years ago I think, but a few months ago they stopped working. They may of stopped working sooner because a year ago two stray cats made a home of my garage and the deal was they can stay and I will feed them if they catch mice lol. Which they do lol.
Not sure if the continuation of the tutorial is even necessary at this point. I didn’t have a mouse problem, I had rats! This is why I continue to stress the importance of trading theory for ACTION before you actually need critical gear and equipment.
WE BOUGHT FOUR OF THESE UNITS AND AFTER 30 DAYS THERE WAS AN INCREASE NOT REDUCTION IN THE RATS, MY UNCLE HAS OVER 30 BITE MARKS FROM RATS IN HIS LOW-INCOME APART AND APART MANGER REFUSES TO HELP AND HEALTH DEPT CANT DO ANYTHING, WAITING ON PERMISSION FROM POLICE TO ASK SOMEBODY IN NASHVILLE FOR HELP BUT THAT COULD TAKE MONTHS,MY UNCLE IS 68 AND SICK NEED TO GET THIS RAT PROBLEM SOLVED, THANK YOU
But you’d better know that sticky rodent traps are inhumane, because trapped animals usually suffer and cry for many hours before death from dehydration or stress. So we suggest you check your glue traps very often or use other traps.
Excellent. Caught rats I had been after with boards that had less “stick em.” Will buy again! I even cut the piece off that had the dead critter on it and kept using the remainder. Lay a piece of paper on the sticky part and cut through it. Helps keep scissors from getting stuck to board.
I am a believer. I use a three stage approach: warfarin in baits outside and a combo of glue traps and a single Victor trap. After two days, I got my first one in the kitchen with the Victor. Placement is the key. If you see mouse poops, that is a good place along the wall in a dark corner. Disposal is easy and it never got soiled with the first mouse. But if I get another mouse kill, I will clean it out to be sure it is attractive with the peanut butter on the bait cup.
The concept here may seem complicated but its actually quite simple.  On either side of the trapped door, is two rubber bands pulling at the door which is being held up by the trigger. The trigger is the red twine that runs to the bait in the bottom of the bottle.
This is an innovative take on an old idea. Inspired by an antique mousetrap that operated as a one-way door, the mice are baited to travel through a hole, but are unable to return through the same entrance due to wires protruding from the hole. Sounds gnarly, but actually the wires leave the mouse completely unharmed through it’s decent through the hole. It’s only when the mouse lands, does it realize that the wires prevent it from returning. This is a simple mousetrap that can easily be converted into a trap for larger rodents and can be used multiple times.
in vietnam baking soda is difficult to find so i use cement method. when i was in pakistan ,it was easy to find baking soda so i used baking soda method to kill rats and it was very effictive way to kill
Living on a lake in Norcal lotsa spiders flies etc. Cats brought in some fleas so put in 5 of these electronic devices with high amaxzon rating from actual purchasers. Flypaper and sticky traps show drastic reduction in corpus and fly’s went away pronto. I put 2 pest strips ( toxic ) in attic spray bedding with Vets Best and cut up generic Seresto flea collars in 1 inch strips under cover and pet towel ( silver threads antimicrobial ). A battle with insects requires a combined assault.
I’m visiting Canmore, Alberta, Canada from the US and the Canadian Tire I was just in definitely sells 2 brands of ultrasonic rodent devices. So the gentleman that said they are banned in Canada is incorrect. Sept 6 2016
Place a piece of food on the construction paper. Place the food — cheese, a piece of candy, or bread — along the edge of the coffee can directly opposite the point at which the ruler, paint stirring stick, or other ramp-like object you’ve affixed to the coffee can meets the can’s mouth.[7]
There is one, having tried many that actually works here in Spain. It is a free app for iPhones and iPads and you can download it from iTunes here https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/ultra-sonic-mosquito-repeller/id1116453268?mt=8
Once the wire is through both ends, make sure the wire extends a few inches past the bucket on both edges. With the threaded can centered over the bucket, crimp the wire at both ends of the can. This will keep the can sliding to the edge of the bucket which would defeat the trap.
AThe Trapper Rat and Trapper Mouse Glue boards use the same type of glue.  The only difference is the size of the board.  If you know you only have mice, then you should get the Trapper Mouse Glue Boards.  If you are not sure, then you should get the Trapper Rat Glue Board because it is large enough to catch rats and mice.
Set out unset rat traps can be buried in grain, sawdust, or similar materials within an empty cardboard box or pie pan. Place the rat bait in small pieces near it and above it with the hidden trap below. Once the rats start taking the bait, set the traps. This set up will acclimate the rats to the traps, once adapted, set enough traps to kill a large percentage of the population before the rodents become ” trap shy” This method is called mass trapping, catching them at a higher rate than they can repopulate and become shy of the trap.
This trap is smaller than the metal ones we’ve used in the past but improved in some ways. I especially like the peanut butter bait cup and the way it’s located so the critters can smell but not eat it till they’ve scurried inside. Our vehicles seem to invite mice and rats into their engine compartments for nest building and this trap is small enough to rest inside in a variety of places. I sourced the cardboard container to make a sign that I hang from the steering wheel as a reminder to remove it before driving off. Overall this is the least messy way of disposing of dead pests you’re likely to find..
Notice to all the posters here that use these electronic repellers in apartment buildings. YOU’RE DRIVING ALL YOUR PESTS INTO THE ADJOINING APARTMENT, AND WE DON’T LIKE IT. Have a little consideration for you neighbors. If you insist on keeping food out, dirty dishes in the sink, or a filthy apartment, KILL the bugs and rodents. Don’t send them nextdoor.
Top Tip :  I bought this trap after I’d dealt with quite a bad rat infestation problem in my chicken run.  It takes out one rat at a time, so if you have evidence of a large number of rats you need to get them under control first.  See here for options and further advice.
Convenient Bait Door for Effortless Bait Application With the built-in bait cup, you always know your trap is properly baited. Access the cup by opening the bait door located at the back of the trap. To get started, use a toothpick or cotton swab to apply a high protein bait such as peanut butter or hazelnut spread in the cup. Then place your trap in an area with high rodent activity and turn it on.
I came out the next morning before work and both traps had been sprung. The trap set along the fence – nada. The trap in the garden – success! I disposed of the rat and re-baited and re-set the traps because I suspect where there’s one rat, there’s many. So, with the Victor M326 Professional Rat Trap as my weapon of choice the Great Garden Rat War of 2013 will rage on … and any remaining rat’s days are numbered.
You’ll find a lot of conflicting advice about this.  I’ve found four things that seem to work  well : peanut butter, cheese, bacon bits and mashed up cat food.  You don’t need a lot of it – on this trap a smear will work well.

If you’re using a round bottle rather than a bottle with roughly rectangular sides, it is more difficult to gauge where to place the marks. Try to place the marks about 90 degrees apart from each other around the circumference of the bottle, two on one side of the cut and two on the other.
Generally a rat is more likely to scream if it is cornered, otherwise choosing to run away.  In some cases the youngster screams with little or no provocation, just as soon as it feels trapped.  In these cases it seems to be linked to testosterone level, so neutering has helped rats in the past, this brings them to a lower energy level and encourages submission which quickly resolves the situation.  In some cases though a scream is a legitimate fear reaction to extreme bullying. It can also occur if a rat is trapped or badly injured, again fear and being unable to escape, but also pain.  Overall if a rat is screaming it needs to be investigated quickly and the rats separated.  The only exception to this is potentially if a new rat is screaming with no provocation or aggressive behaviour from its new cage mates, then they may benefit from being confined in a small space with their new cage mates well observed until they realise they are not going to be hurt,
Some rat traps such as the snap traps can injure people, pets, children or wildlife if they accidentally encounter the trap. It is advised to use a Trapper T Rex Snap Trap inside a secured bait station, like Protecta Bait Stations or Ambush Bait Station as an alternate trapping solution.
I find a splash of Pine Sol to be helpful with dead critter stink. Don’t know if it will deter the buggers from coming to the bait, but it probably won’t, in itself, kill anything else that comes along. Bec is right, ethylene glycol is highly toxic . . . but attracts animals due to its sweet taste. Don’t wan’t to kill the birds and bees and dogs and deer . . . just the rats.
