Glue traps never work to keep rodents away in the long run, and their use will actually backfire. This is because when animals are killed or otherwise removed, the resultant spike in the food supply causes accelerated breeding among survivors and newcomers—and this means increased populations. The only surefire way to keep mice and other animals out of your house is to make it less inviting to them.
These work great, paired this with the snap traps and have gotten 4 rats in 24 hours out of my barn. They’ve been flipped a few times without a catch, but have made some impressive toe-hold catches too. These worked great for an initial onslaught but aren’t really reusable and thus pretty expensive on a per rat basis. I’m given 5 stars on the product itself, but 1 star pricing for continued use.
Remove the ruler or makeshift ramp from the can and take the can to a location about five to ten miles from human habitation. Place the can on the ground and turn it sideways, allowing the mouse to exit.
No, guys around. I shall wait until tomorrow and if still there I will dong it on the head with a glass bottle, put it into an old dog food plastic bag and put it in the bin for rubbish collection. That is where they belong. Not around residential housing.
Battery operated, these so called “rat zappers” have a chamber in which food bait is placed, enticing the rat to enter. One popular model delivers a high voltage (8,500 volts) electric discharge of two minutes duration to ensure a kill. The electric shock rat traps claim a 100% kill rate and the ability to dispatch 50 rats per set of batteries. The electric trap’s enclosed chamber allows for disposal of rat remains without the need to touch the dead animal, it can be dumped directly into a trash receptacle unseen.
Use two traps in the position mentioned above or place them length-wise, end-to-end (red “V’s” on traps pointing towards each other) so that the bait pedal end will be encountered first as mice approach from either direction. Looking for cheap rat traps? Victor® rat glue traps offer an effective method of rodent control at a competitive price, without the time-consuming processes of setting or baiting. Rather, glue traps have a sticky surface which is pre-baited to attract rats, insects, and other pests. The glue surface stops pests in their tracks upon contact and prevents them from escaping back to their hiding spaces. Simply place the traps along walls where there are signs of high rodent activity. For your convenience, rat glue traps are disposable to allow for quick cleanup after every catch.
I will as a matter of principle only recommend things on this site if I feel they’re good value. Usually I’ve tried them myself or know and trust someone else who has. In this case, I’ve been using this trap now for well over two years, with excellent results.
I think it depends where they are plugged in, my outlets are minimal and builder put them in sideways, I didn’t plan how to put them in I just put them where I could but they work. I live alone so I can’t call someone to kill bugs for me and I am terrified of bugs so I am happy.
When I was dealing with an infestation, I learned a lot about rats and how to deal with them. In some ways, they’re fascinating creatures, and knowing how they behave actually helps when it comes to dealing with them.

conclusion — there should be some effect with these electronic device (mine is EI3110), but does it drive the cockroach wondering around, or they listen to the disco theme music (the LED light periodically go brighter and dimmer continuously) and come out , having a party of their lives —– who’s know
I just purchased the electronic pest repeller and i only saw one roach so far and I just put them in two days ago. But my daughter says she can hear it, it said on the box that us humans cant hear it. So why is she hearing it?
The Victor Electronic Rat Trap is the ultimate in rodent control. It works by delivering a humane, high-voltage shock to effectively kill the invading rat. This powerful device is capable of killing up to 50 rats per set of fully charged batteries (4 C), making it a great value when you’re dealing with a sizable infestation. It’s also easy to use! Get started by simply applying a high protein bait in the provided bait cup, place the trap in a location with high rodent activity and turn it on. The trap is equipped with advanced smart circuit technology, which senses when a rat enters the tunnel, triggering the system to deliver a humane, high-voltage shock once the rat steps on the electrified plate. Since rats have the ability to restart their hearts after an electrical shock, this trap applies shock for 2 minutes to ensure higher kill rates. After making a catch, a green LED light blinks to indicate a kill. For your convenience, the trap’s design allows you to easily dispose of the dead rodent without having to see or touch it. The new and improved design of the electronic trap has a removable kill chamber, which provides better plate access so you can easily clean and bait it in between uses. These traps require no poison or chemicals and can be used anywhere inside your home or business to ensure years of effective rat control.

I use these to discourage our cat from getting into areas she shouldn’t be. Don’t worry, she doesn’t get stuck to it. Once they see that it’s sticky they avoid it completely. Much cheaper than alternate methods. Glue is non toxic so it won’t hurt your furry friends, just keeps them out of places they shouldn’t be.
I have lot of cockroaches in my home. I have tried all the ways but they come back after some days. I havent used electronic repellents. Tell me how much effective r they and is their any other way to get rid of them.
I set this glue trap for this mouse cause it was destroying my stuff every night. It was successfull but was bad as it when the mouse gets stuck to the trap it cant escape and it dies from hunger, and weakness from trying continuously from freeing itself and it dies after 4-5 days of struggle. This stuff is inhumane I felt so bad for the poor little thing that i freed it, which was the hardest thing to do, and left in and open field.
I live in an apartment had have used ultrasonic pest control for 10 years. A few months after moving in we had a mouse problem, put down those sticky pads and bought my first ultrasonic plug ins and have been using them since 2006. After the initial problem, we spotted a rodent in Nov, 2011, rfreshed the units and no more problems until Sep 2015, which kind of surprised me because we change them every 18 months. We replaced the units and replaced them again in April of this year. It is now October and we have suddenly becme infested even though. Even though the units were replaced just 6 months ago,, we replaced them yesterday, and put down sticky pads. I’m hoping this will get rid of the disgusting things at least for the next 6 months (when we plan to move). I don’t know what happened. The plug ins worked for us for 10 years. Now I feel dirty and feel like everything in the house needs to be scoured, but I need the rodents gone first. I do have a spray I can use, but it smells so bad It kept everyone around here choking for hours.
A: An instruction sheet and video are available that will give detailed step-by-step instructions on how to bait, set, place and dispose of the Victor® Easy Set® Mouse Trap. The instruction sheet and video also give detailed instruction on how to use the firm and sensitive setting and the difference between the two.
We recommend using either glue boards or snap traps( indoors to get rid of rodents. It is important to use the appropriate size trap as a mouse trap is not strong enough to trap a rat and a rat trap is not sensitive enough to trap a mouse. Using baits indoors can lead to a dead rat/mouse in an inaccessible area that causes odor and secondary insect infestations. Read the following articles for great tips on indoor rodent control:
Ultrasonic electronic pest and insect repellent devices claim that their high frequency sound waves are intolerable to rodents and insects. However, simply plugging in one of these devices probably won’t end your pest woes. It’s important to understand exactly what these devices can do before investing in one.
Check the trap frequently. When you see the tube sticking upright out of the trash can, it means the trap has been sprung. Look down the tube to ensure the mouse is within. Remove the tube and, keeping it upright with the open end up, take it at least five to ten miles from your house, preferably in an area free of housing. Dump the mouse out of the tube gently in a field or meadow.
The ability to remove the battery/electronics off of this unit to clean has made maintaining these traps SO much easier. That was the only drawback of this units predecessor. Both units give reliable results, but the ability to clean easier is a definite plus. The square shape is also nice for stacking the traps when not in use or when carrying multiple units. This is not just a rat trap. It works GREAT with mice as well.
